The Foundry Wedding | Jessica & Sloan

Today’s post celebrates the anniversary of an amazing couple, Jessica & Sloan. Their spring wedding at The Foundry was stylish, creative, urban, rustic, outdoor, industrial and more. It’s hard to imagine how to fit all of those elements into one wedding but the customizable space of The Foundry makes that all possible. Jessica and Sloan’s wedding integrated their personal style with the backdrop of this richly restored, rustic factory. They used the outdoor courtyard for their ceremony with the beautiful ivy covered brick walls. Their reception was held in the warm, industrial interiors of the refurbished factory. Guests had the option of dancing with the wildly talented couple on the dance floor or enjoying a warm fire pit outside as well as the rooftop terrace. What an amazing wedding! Truly well done by the fabulous bride and groom and their planner Miss Nancy Olecki. Happy Anniversary to these two and thank you for choosing Be Creative Photography! This wedding was photographed by Be Creative Photographer’s John and Aaron. If you are interested in hiring Be Creative Photography for your own wedding please contact us here.

The Foundry Wedding Urban Details

The perfect flowers for Spring. I love how the ivy in the bouquet is a nod to the ivy covered walls at The Foundry. The city buildings are a beautiful backdrop to the dress. I also love how John captured the dress through a mirror for some added dimension.

Such beautiful calligraphy on their invitation. I love the simplicity of the heart, the one and only design element, besides the stunning lettering.

So apropos to find Love graffiti outside of the hotel window for this urban wedding, perfectly setting the stage for the getting ready images.

It is always one of my favorite moments when a bridesmaid is helping the bride with the finishing touches. Such beauty in the anticipation!

Sloan and his groomsmen were such a fun group! Ready to head off to The Foundry for the ceremony.

Wedding Images at The Foundry Spring

With a little pre-planning your getting ready images will not be rushed. I love that these girls had time together once they were all fancied-up. Here they are enjoying a few quiet moments together in support of the bride. By the time everyone arrives at The Foundry for the wedding ceremony there will be a lot of hustle.

This was the perfect location to capture beautiful images of the NY skyline.

Just steps away from the city there is the beautiful oasis that is The Foundry. I am obsessed with Jessica and Sloan’s unique table numbers.  Another nod to The Foundry aesthetics with the vintage metal keys. And there’s that simple and beautiful golden heart again. I just love it.

An outdoor ceremony at The Foundry does not disappoint aesthetically. It’s urban, garden, industrial, modern wedding decor all wrapped into one.

The love is real and beauty abounding for Jessica and Sloan’s ceremony. I love the crisp navy mixed with the lush green background and the soft pastels for the girls are the perfect splash of color.

Congratulations to the amazing couple! Love the images captured during the pinnacle of this wedding ceremony. And it’s time to party.

Love The Foundry interiors and the style that Jessica and Sloan chose for their reception. Beautiful brick and steal combined with ambient lighting, wooden chairs and crisp-white linens make a beautiful statement.

The reception tables for this Foundry wedding were set with spring flowers and a fresh garden salad, mercury glass votives and gold lined champagne glasses. Just perfect.

Jessica and Sloan made a memorable entrance into the reception and waisted no time showing off their amazing dance moves. I just love this duo and all the moves they shred on the dance floor.

Lyndhurst Castle Wedding in the Rose Garden

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner it seemed fitting to post one of our most romantic weddings ever. Congratulations to Silvana and Stephen! Their wedding was bursting with beautiful blooms in the rose garden ceremony at Lyndhurst Castle, pretty petals on every table, and traces of beautiful love sonnets found here and there. Every detail of this wedding spoke to my heart. We are delighted for the happy couple and are down right giddy over the soon to be delivered wedding album!

Lyndhurst Castle Wedding

From the bride…

Our ceremony took place in the beautiful rose garden and we wanted to carry that feeling into the reception space. We chose long rectangular tables to foster a dinner party vibe. We wanted dinner to feel like an extension of spending an afternoon in the rose garden on a beautiful June day, while  maintaining a sense of elegance and old world charm. We brought in crystal chandeliers and used Jo Malone Rose scented room spray in the reception tent to help create the ambiance. Music was a very important element to the couple. They had a string quartet for the ceremony and a Spanish guitar duo played flamenco inspired music for the cocktail hour. The DJ rocked the house for the reception. The custom cake topper included the bride and groom and their four furry kids (3 cats and a dog).  In addition to the traditional wedding dances, the bride danced a tango with her uncle/godfather in memory of her late grandmother. The bride had two blue hearts embroidered over her heart on the inside of her dress using fabric from a piece of clothing from each of her parents.

Pleasantdale Chateau Wedding, Jaclyn and Josh

I’m thrilled to blog Jacklyn and Josh’s wedding from Pleasantdale Chateau, a glorious summer affair. The lovely couple, the story the images tell, and the beauty of the venue makes me so happy! I absolutely adore the detail of Jaclyn’s dress and her beautiful, long veil in this first shot.  The groom Josh had a few moments that literally brought tears to my eyes. One of my favorite details provided by Jaclyn was that she gives her mom complete credit and title of the wedding planner. How sweet, what a mom! Take a look and tell me what you think of this beautiful summer wedding!

Be Creative Photography Kids

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any personal photos on the blog. I thought I’d kick off the summer with a snippet from our recent trip to Jamaica. This trip was a “Happy Mother’s Day Trip” to me and I enjoyed every second. My wish was for no cooking, cleaning, social media, email or iPads. Many thanks to my husband and kiddos for making my wish come true. I read two books, I ate too much, I gushed over my two children. We snorkeled, sailed, ate, played in the pool, and ate some more. We left the kids at the Kids Club so Eric and I could have some romantic walks and swims on this beautiful beach. We don’t get to do vacations like this often but when we do, we never regret it!

kids beach portraits

We did not take many pictures at all. We were focused on being present and not ruining our phones/cameras in the water or sand. I was ok with that during the week, but now that it’s over I wish I had more. We did take out the Nikons for a quick session on the beach and I’m so happy we have these. Through these photos I can feel the air, sand and sea. And I’ll always remember this time, the innocence of my children, the unconditional love, the joy and laughter.

So here they are. Marlie (6) and Miles (3). Marlie is a spunky little Kindergartener who recently lost her first tooth. She loves dance, soccer, T-ball, the outdoors and art. Miles is a happy little three year old. He loooooves his big sister. He is rapidly learning his ABC’s, numbers, colors and new concepts that surprise me every day. He’s very proud that he has recently learned to use the potty. He literally says, “I’m so proud of me”. I’m proud of him too and so happy I will never have to buy any swim diapers for him! I’m sure many moms can relate to this excitement. These kids truly are the best of friends. I can’t even begin to describe the joy it brings when I see them together like this.
